At TristramTree, we are passionate about helping protect our environment

While there are some cutting and chipping tasks that only the power of a noisy diesel or two-stroke engine will do, we use quieter electric and manual tools where possible.

All of our two and four-stroke tools are predominantly run using synthetic alkylate fuel, which is demonstratively better for the environment in many ways, as well as being much more pleasant to work with, as the fumes are much cleaner than using regular petrol with additives.

We are registered as a waste carrier SEPA, and hold a Commercial Recycling Permit for Perth and Kinross Council, so you can be assured that all waste will be disposed of responsibly. In fact, we prefer to reuse where possible (chips for mulch, logs and branches for furniture or firewood, etc).

Where practical, we always encourage leaving dead wood, neat brash piles, wood chips or log stacks in your garden as a haven for wildlife. These can be neatly presented for display, or hidden behind a shrub or shed. Decaying wood piles provide excellent habitat for a whole host of invertebrates, and provide welcome cover for small birds, hedgehogs and other wildlife.

We can consult with a local ecologist to help advise if required.
